Why This Build Works

As a Cryo claymore user, Chongyun scales with Freeze, Superconduct and Melt reactions, so the artifact Goblet almost always favors Cryo Damage Bonus and the substats favor Crit Rate, Crit DMG and the relevant offensive stat. The recommended weapons above all belong to the CLAYMORE class, which matches Chongyun's attack pattern — using an off-class weapon would waste passives tuned to this kit. Where two weapons tie on paper, the better pick depends on whether your rotation is burst-focused or normal-attack-focused, and on what else is in your roster.

Artifact sets are listed in priority order; a 4-piece of the top set is ideal when its bonus suits the kit, otherwise a 2-piece + 2-piece combination of the next two sets captures most of the value with less farming RNG. Main-stats follow the same logic: Sands and Goblet should push the largest damage multiplier available to this element, while the Circlet is shared between Crit Rate and Crit DMG depending on which your other gear leaves short.
